I’ve known of Godin guitars for some time, but had never had an opportunity to really get to know them until the making of my most recent album. I knew they were Canadian, and I’d heard of their Norman line and actually owned a Seagull at one point…but it wasn’t until we were at the Sound Emporium in Nashville, TN, with Fred Mollin my producer, that I really heard what these beasts can do.

Fred had brought his Parlour Roadhouse Art & Luthrie to the session, and on top of using it to record several beds for “DURBAN GIRL”, he let me try it in between takes.

It was such a comfortable setup, the fingerboard felt great, and the tone was lively and detailed…and so I asked Fred where I could get my hands on one.

After some discussion, Godin graciously agreed to support my efforts with an endorsement, and a shiny new guitar arrived at my doorstep a short time later.

I couldn’t be more thankful for their support of me and “Durban Girl”.  Thank you!
